My Treatment Process
My Patients
I treat adults with a wide spectrum of psychiatric illnesses and with a special focus on Major Depressive Disorder. Many of my patients are seeking help in coping with life’s stressors such as family and relationship issues, difficult losses, educational and career challenges and other personal transitions.
My Approach
I invite you to discuss your needs and concerns. I commit to listen attentively and strive to help you arrive at a level of understanding that will enable you to move forward toward emotional health. Our goal is to develop a plan for recovery that includes what you are going to do and what I will do to support you. Informed patients are faithful to a plan and are more likely to benefit from the resources available to them.
Treatments Offered
Because I believe that both psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy (medication) can be beneficial, I offer both. We will work together to determine what will best meet your needs at that time.
- Individual Psychotherapy is a process in which we explore the personal issues that impact your emotional health and determine the best approach to cope with them.
- Medication is sometimes needed to manage the biological aspects of a problem. If I recommend medication, we will discuss all the options. You have the right to full information regarding benefits, risks, and side effects of medication. Ultimately, the decision to take medication is yours.
I look forward to working with you!
